Opening Session & Keynote: The End of Programming?

Session Abstract

Coding agents are fundamentally upsetting our routines and expectations about software development. Are we witnessing the end of (human) programming, where software construction will be exclusively the domain of agents? Many claim so, but I would like to think otherwise. I believe it’s essential that humans stay in the loop, even if large parts of a software system will be written and reviewed by agents. To achieve this, we will likely need fundamental changes in programming languages and programming workflows, This talk will start the discussion about what kind of possible innovations could help.
