Beschreibung

Under the theme “Was kommt, was bleibt, was geht?”, Vert le Futur is organising a Swiss delegation to raise the profile of existing initiatives and projects and to strengthen new transnational alliances. The aim is to create a dynamic space for reflection and exchange on sustainable transformation in the cultural sector.

At the heart of the event is the TATENbrunch: a dialogue-based format that combines cooking and eating together with short presentations and moderated discussion rounds. It is based on selected good practices and knowledge of transformation from the digital platform Tatenbank. Inspired by permaculture as a systemic model of thinking, concrete perspectives for sustainable cultural organisations and sustainable cultural creation emerge.

The playful yet critical Climate TATENshow questions the role of carbon footprinting and sustainability tools and discusses whether measuring emissions alone is sufficient – or whether more comprehensive tools are needed for genuine transformation.

Key questions:
1. What strategies enable cultural organisations to work more sustainably and to strengthen social cohesion and cultural participation?
2. How can institutions cooperate with one another, as well as with artists and cultural practitioners and local communities, to bring about systemic change at regional, national and international levels?
3. Is CO₂ accounting sufficient, or do we need more comprehensive tools for environmental and social sustainability?
